Situated in Aberfoyle in the Trossachs, this thached cottage was a favourite watering hole of the infamous Scots folk hero, Rob Roy MacGregor in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The thatch on Jean McAlpine's Inn was made from bracken and heather.
